S1 Trip To Riverside Museum

Chaidh na sgoilearan air AS1 air turas gu Taigh Tasgaidh Riverside air an Abhainn Chluaidh. Fhuair iad bùth-obrach agus bha aca ri rannsachadh agus sgrùdadh a dhèanamh am broinn an Taigh Tasgaidh. Fhuair iad cothrom feuchainn rudan orra mar clogaid an tàthadair agus dh'ionnsaich iad facail agus smuaintean ùra ceangailte ris an Abhainn Chluaidh. Chòrd an fhiosrachadh ri na sgoilearan agus tha barrachd eòlas ionadail aca de Ghlaschu a-nis.

Social Subjects (History Department) S1 went on a trip to the Riverside Museum on the River Clyde on Thursday 13th of December. They were given a workshop where they had to investigate and research the information in the Museum. This of course included trying out items such as the welder's mask and learning new words and ideas connected to the Clyde. The pupils enjoyed their experience of Glasgow and have a lot more knowledge of the school locality now.

Sports Video of the Week

Okay so we're going to try a new feature of posting a sports video each week, you won't be able to watch them at school but hopefully you will be able to access them at home.

The first entry is a fantastic football goal. We have seen a lot of great goals scored in the champions league and international friendlies over the last fortnight, here is one from the Europa Leage:

You are the Ref!

Have a go at referring these football situations from the guardian sport, what would you do? Answers will appear here next week.

Inter House Competitions

So last week saw some interesting battles in the inter house dodgeball lunchtime competitions. Overall Scarp were the winners after winning two out of the three events competitions. A big well done to all those who came along and took part, we had over half the school participating!

This week we have Strictly Come Ceilidh on Friday. There was a fantastic number of pupils rehearsing today at Lunchtime. There is still time for you to get involved, you can come along and practice at lunchtimes in the dance studio....teachers are welcome too!

In the coming weeks we will have more Inter House Events so keep checking the notice board in the foyer for information.
