Toryglen Football

Toryglen 7s is back! Mr O’Hanlon has been pleased with the boys and girls teams performances so far. Toryglen is a great opportunity for our younger performers to get experience of the game on a regular basis in a fun and supportive environment. Mr O’Hanlon would know as it wasn’t too long ago he was representing the school at Toryglen. Jeep up the good work!

Glasgow Schools Multi Events

Another fantastic athletics display by the pupils at SGG. This years multi events took place st the High School in difficult conditions for all disciplines. As the name suggests the competitors had to do a variety of athletics events. This years stand out performers were Mark S1 who finished 2nd and Rhuna S4 who won the title of Glasgow Schools Senior Multi Events Champion! Finlay and Auran were ago isingly close to the medals too in 4th! Well done to everyone!

Played Jordanhill in the schools first netball fixture of the year. The girls were absolutely fantastic and should be very proud of their efforts on the court. They also scored a record number of goals by an S1 team in an opening fixture! Well done team

A massive congratulations to Isla who represented the Scotland u15 National Netball Team at the UK School games in Loughborough. Scottish Schools’ Track and Field Champs

Wow what a performance from the SGG pupils at this year’s Scottish Schools’ Track and Field Championships. A record number of entries, a record number of finalists, a record number of Personal Bests and a record number of medals. Maisie carried on where she left off from the scottish schools indoors bronze in the pole vault. Maisie vaulted her way to another bronze in the Pole Vault and went one better in thr Javelin with a silver! SGG’s first ever double medalist at these championships. Mark in S1 had a phenomenal day too, he qualified for the final of the D boys Discus and had a masdove throw of 10m plus in the Shot Putt to secure the bronze medal! Our first boy and youngest medal winner at these outdoor championships! We had many successes on the day not just by finalists or medal winners but by pupils performing their absolute best and coming away with fantastic times in the process. What was most pleasing was the support all pupils gave each other! One staff member from another school said the SGG pupils were by far the loudest! Well done to you all!
