SGG Road Relay

On Wednesday we are hosting our first ever race. It will be a road relay for pupils from S1-3. We have four teams competing. Each runner will run 1 mile. Good luck to all our competitors:

S2/3 Team to play All Saints

Here’s a new netball team for SGG! 

This is our S2/3s who are playing against All Saints Secondary in a friendly game. The game essentially becomes a trial for the up and coming Scottish Cup Games. Good luck to all the players.

The girls were delighted to get a game together for the first time. 

Our S2 Team played St Benedicts in a friendly again, this was the S2s first ever game. They played extremely well together and showed great team spirit! Well played team! 

S2 Netball Team vs St Benedict’s

The S2 Netball Team will be playing their first ever netball game for the school vs St Benedict’s, Linwood on Monday 4th October. Very much looking forward to it, it’s been a long time coming. And with the year group starting Netball in core PE and lots of S2s attending training there will definitely be lots of competition for places this year for the S2 school team.

Congratulations to all our pupil of the block winners! It was not easy selecting the winners because everyone has performed so well in class since coming back after summer. Thank you to everyone for all their hard work and effort!

Scottish Schools’ Netball

We have entered teams into the Scottish Schools’ Netball Cup. Our S2/3 Netball team and our Senior Open - S4-6 girls too. This competition will start from October and we look forward to playing competitive netball again! 

Scottish Schools’ Road Race

Here’s the SGG Team for the Scottish Schools’ Road Race. This is our biggest team ever for this event. Good luck to all our pupils taking part in what will be our first appearance at an inter schools event since March 2020.

Sports Day

So the results are in for sports day….

In what was an excellent day Muighlaigh have won their first ever sports day competition! A big well done to you all!

A big congratulations to the athletics podium medal winners.

All our core PE classes worked incredibly hard during the athletics block with so many personal bests and school records recorded. Some notable performances:
