Congratulations to our two Scottish Schools Climbing medalists, Caryn and Conall! They both performed very well to even reach the finals of the competition after progressing through the intense qualifying. On finals day last weekend they both showed great skill, focus, decision making and determination to win bronze medals! National medals do not come easy and the school is delighted for Caryn and Conall, congratulations again!

St Aloysius Road Relay

Good luck to our athletes who are competing at the St Aloysius Road Relay on Wednesday. The relay involves a runner from S1, S2, S3 and a senior Pupil on the final leg. The course is in our back garden, Kelvingrove Park. The course is very tough with the first half down hill before the sting in the tail of having to snake your way up the hill from the river Kelvin to the very top at the highest point of the park. Here are our teams:

Girls
S1 Lucie Mills
S2 Peggy-Nan Rodger
S3 Shona Carey
Senior Amy Craig

Boys
S1 Isaac Birr
S2 Conner Walker
S3 Robaidh Whyte
Senior Daniel Moran

Good luck to both our teams!

Scottish Schools Netball

Our S3 team are through to the Gold Section of the Scottish Cup after beating Holyrood and Woodfarm in the regional league qualifiers. The girls have a tough game away to Strathaven in the next round. The senior Girls in their first venture into the competition had a very tough group draw with the current Gold Section Champions Hyndland and Bishopbriggs in the league. The girls lost both games but played well together for the first time in this newly assembled senior team. The girls are now into the Bronze section of the cup and have an away trip to Aboyne in the knock out stages. Good luck to both teams!

Scottish Schools Indoor Rowing Championships

Good luck to Robyn S5 who competes in the Scottish Schools Indoor Rowing Championships next week at Ravenscraig. Robyn joined Rowing after getting talent spotted by a Great Britain Coach during his visit to the School. Since then she has given up being a GB level BMX rider to fully focus on Rowing. Good luck Robyn.

Scottish Schools Climbing Championships

Congratulations to Caryn S4 who has booked her place into the Scottish Schools Climbing Championships Finals. Caryn qualified 5th best overall but she is looking forward to competing in the finals and will give it her best shot! Good luck Caryn!
