S1 Inter House Netball Tournament

Yesterday Friday 31st January, all S1 girls took part in the Inter House Netball Tournament. For many of the girls this was their first taste of Netball. The 5 a side games were very competitive with all girls picking up the rules and positions very quickly. Scarp won the tournament by winning all their games. Muighlaigh were 2nd, Roniagh 3rd and Hiort were 4th. Well done to all girls who took part. There will be a similar competition for the girls in March.

School Cross Country Championships

The Sgoil Ghaidhlig Ghlaschu Cross Country Championships will take place in Bellahouston Park on Friday 7th February. This championship is for S1-3 pupils and will be run over 2 laps of a 1000m course. At the moment there are 80 pupils taking part which is a fantastic entry, up 30 from last year. Results and photos will be posted here in due time.

Sports Leaders

A big well done to all the S3 pupils who lead fitness classes for all primary 4 pupils. The sports leaders were in groups of 4 and planned and practiced their 30min session before all 53 of the primary 4s arrived enthusiastically and ready to take part. It is hoped that the the sports leaders will get more practice in planning, organising and taking parts of lessons with the primary in future.
